If nobody suggests anything, your base playlist simply keeps playing. With YouTube, Audius and Apple Music, the music plays from the Roomzic page on the host's (or a moderator's) device: keep it open. With Spotify, it plays on your Spotify Connect device.

Do I have to manage the music all night?
No. Your base playlist plays by itself and you only step in when you want to: to accept or refuse a suggestion, or to reorganise the queue. With YouTube, Audius or Apple Music, keep the Roomzic page open on the device that plays the music (yours or a moderator's). With Spotify, the music plays on your Spotify Connect device.
What happens if nobody suggests a track?
Nothing changes: your playlist keeps playing. Guests' suggestions are a bonus, not a requirement. Just make sure your playlist is long enough for the evening, because Roomzic doesn't invent music: when there is nothing left to play, the music stops (with Spotify, what comes next depends on your Spotify settings).
Can guests suggest tracks before the party?
Yes. As soon as your room is set up and your music platform is connected, guests can join with the link, the code or a QR code and suggest tracks. They wait in your list until you decide. With YouTube, Audius or Apple Music you can accept them right away; with Spotify, you can accept them once music is playing.
Can I accept or refuse a suggestion?
Yes. With approval on (the default), every suggestion waits for you or a moderator: accepted tracks join the queue, refused ones are discarded. You can also switch approval off so suggestions go straight into the queue, and limit how many pending suggestions each guest can have (1 to 10).
Can I change the order of the tracks?
Yes, with YouTube, Audius and Apple Music: move a track up or down, send it to a precise position, skip or go back. With Spotify, Roomzic adds accepted tracks to your Spotify queue but can't reorder it: use the Spotify app for that.
Can I add moderators?
Yes, with Premium. The person first joins your room with the link or QR code, then you open Participants, select them and choose Promote to moderator. They receive the suggestions, can accept or refuse them, help manage the queue and can remove or block disruptive participants. Free rooms are managed by the host alone.
Do guests need to install the Roomzic app?
No. Guests can join a room directly from their browser. The Android app is optional and is especially useful for hosts and moderators.
Do my guests need an account?
Yes. Guests need a free Roomzic account (email, Google or Apple) to join a room and suggest tracks. It takes a few seconds and there is nothing to install. They never need a music subscription.
Do my guests need Spotify or YouTube?
No. Only the host connects a music platform. Guests search for tracks inside Roomzic, from any phone browser. (With Spotify, the host needs a Premium account to control playback.)
Can I prepare my playlist before the event?
Yes. With YouTube, Audius and Apple Music you load a playlist from your account into the room ahead of time. With Spotify, you pick the playlist you want and start it on your Spotify device when the party begins: Roomzic then adds the accepted suggestions to your Spotify queue.
Does Roomzic replace a DJ?
No. A professional DJ brings mixing, transitions and a feel for the room, and Roomzic doesn't. It is made for parties that don't need a DJ: you prepare the music, your guests take part and you stay in control.
Can I use Roomzic with a DJ?
Yes, as a request list: guests suggest tracks and you (or the DJ) read them in one place. Roomzic doesn't play into the DJ's equipment or mix anything, so the DJ plays what they choose from that list on their own setup.
What happens when the playlist ends?
With YouTube, Audius and Apple Music, Roomzic doesn't loop by itself: once the queue is empty the music stops until new tracks are added or you load another playlist. With Spotify, it depends on your Spotify playback settings (repeat, autoplay).
Is it really free?
Yes. You can create and use rooms for free with up to 20 participants. Premium removes the participant limit and adds moderators, a custom logo and Spotify to YouTube conversion. Guests never pay.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Roomzic is a web app (PWA). It works on smartphones, tablets and computers, directly in Safari, Chrome or Firefox, with nothing to install.
